- Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom:
and with all thy getting get understanding. - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! - And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

forget not the humble. - He healeth the broken in heart,

- And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- The wicked worketh a deceitful work:
but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. - When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
- The vine is dried up,
and the fig tree languisheth;
the pomegranate tree,
the palm tree also,
and the apple tree,
even all the trees of the field, are withered:
because joy is withered away
from the sons of men. - And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
- So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
- O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me.
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,
thou understandest my thought afar off. - And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
- Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous:
he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
- But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
- Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
- And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude. And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.
- But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint. - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
- The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth. - Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding. - But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.
- But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
- And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
- But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul:
he that keepeth understanding shall find good. - And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
- Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it. - And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
- Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
- The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. - Oh how great is thy goodness,
which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee
before the sons of men! - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
- Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.Next verse!With image
